What is PulseCheck?

The ESG Pulse Check is a diagnostic self-assessment tool developed by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) under the broader ESG initiative, Elevate. Sustain. Grow: Good for Business, Great for the Planet. Designed specifically for Philippine enterprises, it helps organizations evaluate their current sustainability performance, identify ESG gaps, and build a clear roadmap toward responsible business practices.
Developed by the ILO and adapted to the Philippine setting, the ESG Pulse Check helps enterprises benchmark their ESG performance and take actionable steps toward international alignment.

Tool Overview

The ESG Pulse Check is a beginner-friendly tool that helps you evaluate your sustainability maturity through 45 targeted questions spanning three core ESG domains with seven key sections:

Labor Standards

This section explores how your company upholds fair, safe, and rights-based working conditions, which is an essential pillar of responsible business and ESG performance.

Environment

This section revolves around how your company manages its environmental footprint, which is an essential component of long-term business resilience and sustainability leadership.

Health and Safety

This section examines how your company protects its workforce through effective health and safety systems.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

This section evaluates how your company promotes fairness, equal opportunity, and respect for all employees, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance.

Community Impact

This section revolves around how your business contributes to local development as well as how your operations align with national development policies.

Company Structure and Context

This final section captures broader aspects of your company’s sustainability journey by looking at leadership structures, reporting practices, and relationships with external partners.
